Weekdial Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Weekdial browser extension ("Weekdial", "we", "us") handles information. Weekdial is a productivity tool for planning and tracking weekly tasks and goals.

Information We Collect

Weekdial does not collect personal information. The extension does not require an account, does not request your name or email address, and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies of any kind. The only information handled by Weekdial is the content you choose to enter into it (such as task names, team member names, and settings). This content is created by you, for you.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Locally, by default: all data you enter is stored in your own browser using Chrome's extension storage. It remains on your device. Optionally, in the cloud for shared workspaces: if you choose to enable the team sharing feature for a workspace, the content of that workspace is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), a hosting service provided by Google LLC, so it can be shared with people you invite. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Workspaces that are not shared never leave your device.

What We Do Not Do

We do not read, collect, or transmit the content of the web pages you visit; the extension only displays its own interface elements on pages. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties; the sole service provider involved in optional cloud sharing is Google Firebase, acting as a storage provider. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking of any kind.

Browser Permissions

Weekdial requests only the permissions needed to function: storing your data in your browser, showing optional reminder notifications, scheduling those reminders, displaying its side panel, and placing its panel-toggle button on web pages. These permissions are used solely for the features described above.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored data is deleted when you remove the extension. You can export a copy of your data at any time from the extension's settings. Content stored for a shared workspace remains available to that workspace's participants; to request deletion of shared workspace data, contact us at the address below.

Children

Weekdial is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this address, with its effective date shown above.
